COTTER TROUT LODGE
Case Study
Client Information
Cotter Trout Lodge is a motel in Arkansas. It was acquired by new owners who wanted to refresh the brand, but still honor its rich history. The lodge is located in what has been dubbed “Trout Capital, USA” (Cotter, Arkansas). The lodge itself is conveniently located just a short stroll from many Cotter attractions including the Cotter Public Boat Ramp on the White River, Big Spring Park, the Big Spring swimming hole and gift shops.
Project Summary
No Filter was retained to develop an updated brand identity for the lodge that included a new brand identity (logo, colors, etc), website, promotional graphics, print graphics, and other marketing materials.
Vision
Our objective was to refresh the brand identity of the lodge while preserving the unique and authentic character that was maintained by the new owners. The lodge’s renovations honored its heritage, preserving the charm that attracts anglers. The new owners modernized the rooms and property while keeping the spirit of a classic fishing retreat, ensuring a familiar haven for returning guests and a warm welcome for newcomers.
A mere few hundred feet before you enter Cotter, you’re greeted by its most iconic landmark: a majestic bridge arching over the river. This bridge creates a unique and unforgettable backdrop, perfectly capturing the essence of this charming fishing town.
When choosing color palettes, graphics, typography and other branding elements, our primary goal was to make sure we captured the natural colors, textures and unique aspects of the small town, and the lodge itself.
